2026 a year of shows
My aim for 2026 is to enter as many shows as I feasibly can. Less a resolution and more a specific set of tasks to achieve (I’m really just putting distance between myself and the triteness of new year’s resolutions). So I’ve entered 4 this year already but there’s about 7-8 more I plan to try for. Several at the Victorian Art Society Gallery, The Eltham and Camberwell Art Shows, the Bibilo Art Show, possibly the Maldon Landscape Prize, the Lester Portrait and maybe a couple of others in the those categories. Too much? Probably? I just want to get out there as broadly and hard and fast as I can. There are also several illustration awards I’ve entered, one was a failure, entering a piece that really was no where near finished and a couple I haven’t the results of yet. I’ll probably approach next year very differently but for better or worse this is what I’m doing now. So in the next week, the VAS 9×5 show, and the Camberwell. The pics below are a couple of what I’m considering, but they may not end up being any of those. We’ll see.
